Arrival in Shanghai | Old and new across the Huangpu
Meet your driver on arrival and settle into your hotel. Later, walk along the Bund and look across to Pudong. A welcome dinner with a view, a Huangpu night cruise or an evening stroll can set the tone for the days ahead.
The Old City and Jiangnan gardens | Garden, tea and dumplings
Explore Yu Garden and its rockeries, pools, corridors and borrowed views. Continue with a Shanghai snack tasting, then enjoy a private tea session—warming the cups, steeping the leaves, noticing aroma and taking time to taste.
Chinese art and Haipai life | Museum, brushwork, qipao and Kunqu
Visit Shanghai Museum around your interests, then try calligraphy or seal carving with a teacher and create a small keepsake. Later, wander Wukang Road or the former French Concession. In the evening, a Kunqu, Peking opera or Jiangnan music performance can be arranged.
Zhujiajiao Water Town | A quieter Jiangnan day
Travel by private vehicle to Zhujiajiao. Follow stone lanes, riverside homes and the old bridge before a traditional sculling boat ride. After a waterside lunch, choose a seasonal craft activity such as indigo dyeing, fan painting, fragrance sachet making or flower arranging.
Chinese wellness and farewell | Incense, temple and departure
Choose an easy final experience: incense appreciation, flower art, tai chi or a traditional Chinese medicine culture session. Longhua Temple is an optional stop for guests drawn to history and sacred architecture, before a final Shanghai meal and airport transfer.
